If you have a question about today’s video, leave us a comment, and I’ll get back to you. [music] Gabe: Let’s kickoff today’s best affordable
cameras video by looking at the $19.99, Wyze Cam v2. It’s only $19.99, but it’s coming
through with that 1080p high-definition video. The colors are nice and vivid. It’s very even,
one of the most consistent visual spectacles you’re going to get for a camera at this price
point. It has motion-tagging, which you’ll see in
our video, with that nice green outline. You can follow the action no matter what’s going
on. If you extend that to its night vision, it has four infrared LEDs that give you the
capacity to see exactly what’s happening even when it’s dark. As you see in our footage, I’m pretty easy
to make out. No matter if I’m close to the cam or far away, it seems to adjust well and
make sure it’s capturing the best picture possible. That’s a really impressive element
of the Wyze Cam v2. In addition to that solid video, you get two-way
audio with the Wyze Cam v2. You can have a nice engaging conversation with whoever happens
to be in the room with the built-in microphone and speakers. If you want to save those clips, you have
two options. You can do the local storage which is popping in a microSD card. You can
even continuously record if you decide to go with that option. What I mean by that,
that means that you can just have a go on to as long as your SD card will last and then
others begin to overwrite the oldest files. In addition, you get three cloud storage of
two weeks. For 14 days, you get that cloud storage option to save and view your clips.
While you do have local and cloud storage, they’re both finite. You’re going to want
to think about the best way of getting longevity out of those event and clip recordings. Maybe you also want to just queue down the
sheer number of notification to get on your phone throughout the day. Wyze gives you a
few options to help with that. You can, of course, just schedule the actual camera, the
times which it records. For example, you decide, “You know what? I
don’t want anything happening at night. Let me make sure I turned everything off at that
point.” You can do that. You don’t have to have it on during certain parts of the day.
You could automate it with other elements of your home. That’s a great option. On top of that, you can dial in the motion
settings that you want to receive. If you don’t want to get every time a tree moves
in the background, you can just cut that down with the Wyze app. The most impressive element and the one that
I incorporate with my Wyze Cam is person detection. I basically don’t care what’s happening as
long as there’s not a person in the space where I didn’t expect them to be. You can
do that with the Wyze app. The other artificial intelligence component
is the ability of the Wyze Cam v2 to listen for smoke and CO2 alarms and alert you to
that danger as well. That’s our look at the impressive feature set that you get for under
$20 with the Wyze Cam v2. [music] Gabe: Well, hold on. I hope you’re enjoying
today’s video of best affordable cameras. If you want to be kept up to date on the newest
in home security cameras, smart home security, cyber security, Bluetooth trackers and more,
subscribe to our channel, Security Baron. We’re dropping new content weekly. All right,
let’s get back to the video. [music] Gabe: The next camera in our best affordable
cams video is the Tend Indoor 2. It’s coming through with that crisp, clear 1080p high-definition
video and a 125-degree field of view. It’s capturing things well and capturing it in
detail. If you convert that to the night vision, it’s also just as crisp and clear. I’m impressed with the way things come out.
No matter if I’m near to the camera or far, it being day or night, you’re going to have
a nice solid perspective of what’s going on in your home. Not only can you see what’s going on, but
you can also hear it with the Tend Indoor 2, which is equipped with that two-way audio.
You can have a nice clear conversation with whoever happens to be on the other side with
the built-in microphone and speakers. Now that you’ve got these nice audio and video
clips, you probably want to be able to store them. You do get a free seven days of cloud
storage with the Tend Indoor 2. It’ll give you all your motion-triggered events in a
nice history that are neatly organized in a way that lets you download and share those
clips. There’s more. You get artificial intelligence
with the Tend Indoor 2 and what they call intelligent facial recognition. The way it
works is like this. You simply put in the people in your household or your friends’
faces, and it comes to recognize them. From that point, you’ll know if someone is
recognized or not when they come into your home. You can have a nice organized assembly
of all the people that have come in right there in your event history. You can share
those clips with whoever you would like to. At $59.99, you’re getting some serious value
from the Tend Indoor 2 with its impressive video quality and artificial intelligence
with facial recognition technology. I must say the value capture is pretty impressive. [music] Gabe: The third cam on our best affordable
cameras is going to be the Blink XT2 coming in at $99.99. It’s rather impressive when
it comes to visual quality because it has 1080p high-definition video. It’s going to
capture you crisply and clearly. If you note in this video, I’m walking around. It’s staying
with me. We did the globe test. It looks good. Even in night vision, when I ride up, it doesn’t
wash me out or anything of that nature. You can see me quite well from close and far.
Overall, pretty impressed with the visual quality on the Blink XT2. Fortunately, the
Blink XT2 also comes with two-way audio so you can have a nice little conversation with
whoever happens to be on the other side of the camera directly from your phone. You probably want to hold on to these clips
and conversations. Fortunately, Blink makes it easy to do so. They begin by giving you
a free 7,200 seconds. That’s two hours of cloud storage. They make it easy for you to
share and save those clips right there in the app. Maybe you want to cut down on the number of
notifications you get throughout the day or simply reduce the motion-triggering events
that come up in your free cloud storage. They make it easy to do so with the motion zones. Motion zones, essentially they allow you to
focus on particular areas where you actually want to be paying attention and have the camera
begin recording, which is great because the Blink XT2 is both indoor and outdoors. It
is weather-rated to be outside and can handle snow, rain, anything you throw at it. If you have your camera out in the yard, you
probably don’t want the fringes, the edges of your yard to be captured in every little
bit of motion. You probably want to focus on something like gesture port. Fortunately,
you have that ability. This may sound complicated, but think about
this. The moment you set this up with two AA batteries, you’re going to get two years
of battery life out of your Blink XT2. It’s basically a set-it-and-forget-it home security
camera. For $99.99, you’re getting a hardy, durable
indoor-outdoor home security camera with pretty impressive visuals and the ability to last
for two years on two AA batteries. I had to say that the Blink XT2 gets my mark of approval. [music] Gabe: The final cam today in our best affordable
cams video is the Amazon Cloud Cam coming in at $119.99. It has that crisp, clean 1080p.
You can see things the way they are meant to be seen. It has a 120-degree field of view,
so nice check mark. There, you’re going to be able to see me on
the fringes of the shot. You’re going to be able to see me from far away, close, all within
this room. That even extends to darkness. You’re going to be able to get eight infrared
LEDs capturing every element of what’s happening in the nighttime. We’re really impressed with
the visual quality on the Amazon Cloud Cam. You probably want a couple of that nice video
with some audio. Fortunately, you get two-way audio with the Amazon Cloud Cam. You can have
a nice engaging conversation with whoever happens to be on the other side of the camera
due to its built-in microphone and speaker. When it comes to saving those nice audio and
video clips that you’ve taken, you do get 24-hour free cloud storage. They make it easy
for you to download those clips in that 24 hours. You simply click on that or tap on
that right there in the Amazon Cloud app, and you’re ready to go. If you’d like to cut down the number of notifications
and clips that are saved throughout the day, you can do so with the motion settings from
the Amazon Cloud app, significantly reducing the number of clips that are recorded dependent
on your motion sensitivity. A big, fun element of the Amazon Cloud Cameras
is integration with the Amazon Virtual Assistant. You can be sitting in one room and decide,
“You know what? I’d like to see what’s happening in my living room,” and it can throw the video
directly to your Amazon Echo Show or Amazon Fire TV. That’s a fun and useful element that
you get with your Amazon Cloud Cam. Overall, we had a good and useful time with
the Amazon Cloud Cam at under $120. It’s excellent in terms of its day and night vision and its
integrations with the Amazon Virtual Assistant. [music] Gabe: Now that we’ve gone over our best affordable
cams, you know that short dollars can go a long way, beginning with the $19.99 Wyze Camera.
You note that not only can you get 1080p but also person detection and something at a very
affordable price. Moving into the Tend Indoor 2 which not only
gives you that free cloud storage but also facial recognition technology for under $60.
Playing right into that $99.99 that you pay for the Blink XT2, but you get indoor-outdoor
weather-resistant technology, motion zones, and a two-year battery life from two AA batteries. Our final pick, the Amazon Cloud Cam, which
comes with that 120-degree filtered view, coupled with that eight infrared LED night
vision, 1080p high-definition quality, and the ability to throw that video directly to
your Amazon Fire or Amazon Echo Show. Overall, we’re mighty pleased with the affordable spectrum
provided by our four cameras. [music] Gabe: That concludes our look at the best
affordable cams. If you appreciated today’s video, give us a like, and hit that subscribe
button. As always, this is Gabe at Security Baron. Be secure. [music]
