Chevy Avalanche Replacement Remote Programming 2002 2006

Chevy Avalanche Replacement Remote Programming 2002 2006

Hello, welcome to CarandTruckRemotes.com videos.
Today we’re going to show you how to activate the remote for a Chevy Truck or an SUV.
Those instructions work for most: ’98 to about 2006 Trucks, GM trucks, large trucks
and SUVs, also Hummer SUV, you can get the details on our website, or if you have any
questions give us a call. Basically, what we’re going to do is, this
vehicle has already two remotes, they work, we’re just going to program an additional
remote, so a total of three remotes. Basically, it is a very easy procedure; you
just need to have your ignition key and your remotes with you.
You have to start with all the vehicle doors closed, windows closed, you put the key into
the ignition and you hold down the unlock button on the driver’s door panel: just
keep holding it down. You then turn the key in the ignition ON and
OFF twice. Then you release the unlock, doors cycle (lock and unlock), then you grab the
remote, press lock and unlock buttons, keep holding it down for several seconds, until
you see or hear the locks (lock and unlock). So, sometimes it takes 15, sometimes 20 seconds
or more. OK, that worked. Now, since we already had
two remotes, what you want to do is make sure all of them are programmed.
So, we follow the same procedure for all of the existing remotes, just to make sure that
all of them will work again. It may take 15-20 seconds or so, and we’re doing it to make
sure that all of them will be synchronized. Ok, we are not getting the response from this
one, let’s try that. Maybe they will all work without resynchronizing. OK, it may take
several more seconds and then we’ll try to test the remotes. Ok, very good.
Now we turn the ignition ON. That’s how you exit the programming procedure. OK.
Now let’s see if the remote works. This remote didn’t work, Works! (*click *click).
OK, we’re done. This is how you program the remotes.
Again, it works for: GM trucks like a Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Blazer, Trailblazer,
Envoy, Hummer, H2. Again, you’ll probably get the list at the end of this video on the
YouTube website as well, you can check on our website at CarandTruckRemotes.com
Thank you very much for watching. If you have any questions, give us a call or check our
website at CarandTruckRemotes.com. Thank you. Bye, Bye.

  1. 2002 Avalanche won't go into programming mode. When I release the unlock button, it makes a slight noise but doesn't do the lock/unlock action.

  2. Tried this several times, the truck enters reprogramming mode, but the fobs never sync up. They are new and I've checked the batteries. Any suggestions?

  3. Your video is AWESOME!I got my remote working on the FIRST try and trust me NOTHING works for me on the first try!Thank you!
