How to Set up your wireless devices for Shaw home WiFi | Shaw Support

Now that you have a Shaw wireless modem, it’s time to connect your WiFi capable devices and get online. Connecting to WiFi is easy and requires two pieces of information that you can find on a sticker on your Shaw WiFi modem. It’s your SSID and your passphrase code or pre-shared key. Your modem broadcasts a unique network that provides wireless internet access to devices like laptops, phones and tablets. This network has a
unique name called it’s SSID. Your networks SSID is printed on a sticker
attached to your wireless modem. The SSID is the network name you’ll look for on the list of available networks displayed by your device. Select your SSID from the
list and you’ll be asked to enter a passphrase or pre-shared key. The default passphrase is printed on the same sticker as the SSID. If in the past you have customized your SSID or passphrase or pre-shared key, please enter your personalized credentials and not those shown on your modem. If you need to restore your modems default SSID and passphrase or pre-shared key, please follow the written instructions below this video. With the SSID and passphrase
or pre-shared key identified, your WiFi device will be online. For more information and additional support, please visit community.shaw.ca
