SportRack EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review – 2012 Dodge Ram – etrailer.com

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we’ll be
test fitting the Sportrack 2 Bike Mounted Bike Rack, part #A30901. Our vehicle’s equipped with a two-inch class
three hitch. So with our adaptor installed, we’re ready
to fit it to the vehicle. We’ll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch,
line up the hitch pin hole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. And with our bolt tight, our bike rack is
secured to the vehicle and we’re ready to go ahead and load it up. At this point, we’ll give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the back of the bike
rack is 20 inches. And from the closest point of the bike rack
to the back of the vehicle is about 10 inches. We’ll now go ahead and fold the platform down
and open our tailgate. And as you can see, we can gain full access
opening the tailgate completely with this bike rack. We’re now almost ready to load
our bike.
