Gabe: Hey, folks. This is Gabe at Security
Baron. Today, we’re unboxing the Swann Smart Security System with six cameras. [background music] Gabe: If you’d like to see a list of our favorite
home security systems, Google “Security Baron best home security systems.” If you have a
question about today’s unboxing, leave us a comment. I’ll get back to you. This is the Swann Smart Security System. It’s
pretty large. If you don’t mind, I’m going to get out of the way and take it piecemeal. One, two, three. What will this be? I have
no idea. Try it out. This looks to be our two spotlight cameras. Now, this system comes
with four Bullet cameras and two Spotlight cameras. Here we have this, the camera itself. Now,
Swann always feels weighty in your hand. We’ve done a Swann system before. You’ll note that
you need to use a little Allen key, if you would like to make it which is found here.
You put this in there. Then you can articulate and use the mobility of the Swann camera.
Just to be clear, it definitely feels weighty. Now, it looks as if this one actually has
some speaker action going on. I’m anxious to see what all this does when we knock out
our review. Here, we have the four bullet cameras, very
similar components. This is our hub, our Swann hub. We’ve got eight-channel video recorder. You’ll
note you’ve got space for a lot of Ethernet cables. Audio out, VGA, HDMI. Boom, you’re
ready to go. Pretty smooth system. Got all of our literature here. A lot of it,
it seems. Let’s see what else is in this last box. Basically, all the connections you need.
HDMI cable, more Ethernets, adapter, and your mouse. You’re ready to rock with the Swann
system. These cameras are pretty similar. I’m more
familiar with this cam. This is the Bullet cam. You’ve got four of these in the package.
One thing I note about this is something new with the Spotlight cam. I’m assuming they’re
just more infrared and just strong lights. The Spotlight cam is used to, one, spotlight,
but also makes people know that they’re being watched, so that they may want to not intrude.
That’s pretty useful. You can see that here on the lens. These will definitely be something
that people notice. Of course, the one thing with Swann I’ve always
had a little bit of an issue with is this is bulb that sticks out, so it’s never a flush
camera. That’s purely aesthetic. That’s purely just me looking at it and being like, a little
bit like that. It’s not actually an issue. I just wanted to note that. Otherwise, it’s
pretty flat and you hit this. We note that cameras don’t have to always do that. Looking forward to trying it out, and see
how well these cameras are going to pick up on things and see what all is possible with
that integration with Google Assistant. [background music] Gabe: That concludes my unboxing of the Swann
