ZOSI DVR Security System Operation – How to Schedule Recordings

How to Schedule Recordings To navigate to the schedule menu right click to bring up the quick menu and select “Main Menu” from the bottom of the list followed by “Setup” and then “Schedule” The process of scheduling or recording is the same whether you’re scheduling a schedule recording or a motiona recording However a schedule recording will overrule a motion recording as the DVR is being told to record regardless of motion detection You will still be alerted of motion detection events if a motion recording is being overruled by standard scheduled recording All DVRs are defaulted to schedule 24 hours a day
7 days a week but for the purposes of this video the schedule has been cleared To select which channel you’d like to schedule use the channel drop-down menu Each block on the recording grid represents one hour You can quickly add or remove one-hour blocks by selecting the quick add or quick erase tools from the top right corner of the menu
below the back button If a block is colored light blue the channel will be recording for that one-hour period Right now you can see that channel 1 is set to record from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday With this current scheduled channel 1 will not record outside of those hours We can quickly erase that schedule by selecting the quick erase tool and clicking on the boxes that we’d like to remove Now that we’ve erased all the boxes
we’d like to set a more specific schedule Double click anywhere in the grid
to be taken to the set a schedule menu This menu will allow you to set a more specific schedule down to the minute rather than down to the hour Select the day that you’d like to schedule from the drop-down menu Select the “Add” button in the bottom left
hand corner to begin adding your schedule Using the drop-down menus
select a start time and an end time Select the check mark when you’re finished Once you click the check mark you’ll see the schedule populating the list and you can delete the schedule by selecting it and clicking “Delete” If you’d like to save your schedule make sure you’ve added it and then select “OK” in the bottom right hand corner and as you can see the schedule that
we’ve just created has been applied to the grid We can quickly share the schedule with other channels by selecting the channel from the apply settings to drop-down menu and then selecting the “Copy” button Now when we look at channel to schedule You can see it’s been copied from channel 1 as they’re identical We can also use the copy method in the set of schedule menu You can copy your schedule for different days of the week by selecting add from the bottom left hand corner setting your start and end times confirming by checking the check mark and then with the apply settings to drop-down menu select the date that you’d like to copy and then select the “Copy” button Using the copy feature you can easily create schedules
for your entire week across all of your channels And once again the schedule from channel
1 has quickly been copied to channel 2 Don’t forget to apply your changes before exiting the menu
